Like many young boys, Ted Robinson, dreamed of being a horseman when he grew up. He worked his way up through the ranks of the top reined cow horse trainers during an era when the legends were winning the big events. For several years, Robinson knocked at the door, and then he won his first National Reined Cow Horse Snaffle Bit Futurity Championship the third year he made the trip to the most famous cow horse event in the country.

Since that win in the early 1980s, Robinson has never missed the finals. In fact, Robinson will sometimes bring four or five horses into the hard-fought finals. In addition to a record-breaking six Snaffle Bit Futurity Championship titles, Robinson has won the year-end titles in both hackamore and bridle divisions many times. He is now considered “the man to beat” whenever and wherever he shows. In 1999 and 2001, Robinson won the NRCHA World's Greatest Horseman competition, a four-discipline competition with each rider on a single horse working in roping, reining, cutting and fence work.

His years of commitment to the National Reined Cow Horse Association include a number of stints on the Board of Directors. The Robinson barn in Oak View, Calif., is a prime example of the best in professional level preventative health care programs in practical application. Robinson's horses are fit, sound and ready for competition.
