Paul Kathen
Dressage
Originally from Germany, Paul Kathen earned silver and bronze medals from the German Federation Equestre Nationale for teaching and training expertise in dressage and jumping. He also won silver and bronze medals for riding achievement from the United States Dressage Federation. In 1997, Kathen was honored as Horseman of the Year for USDF Region 9, and in 2001, he received the Charlotte Raisbeck Sportsmanship Award for Dressage.
In 1980, Kathen founded Tex-Over Farms in Conroe, Texas, where he teaches, trains and hosts educational events such as the Gulf Coast Dressage Symposiums. Kathen also conducts dressage clinics across the United States and regularly travels to Germany to continue his own education by working with world-renowned equestrian experts.
