• Interview with RFD TV show Rode To The Winner's Circle after winning the Abilene Spectacular.
• Interview with another RFD TV show after winning Abilene Spectaular.
• The money won at the Abilene Spectacular put Matt's lifetime earnings over 5 million dollars.

• Did a radio interview for Purina.
• Had an article in the Quarter Horse News on showing a horse in the open while the owner/non pro shows it as well. Pros and cons.

• Did a "green screen" interview with Equibrand (Classic Equine & Martin Saddlery) for them to use on their website.
• Martin Saddlery commercial footage was shot

• Matt and his dad put on a 4 day clinic at the Dead Horse Ranch in Las Vegas, New Mexico.
• Did a radio interview for Purina.

• Shot the footage for a TV Show that will air on RFD for HorseCity.com. The episode called "Day In The Life Of Matt Gaines", will air sometime in January or February 2009.
• Mat helped NCHA make a video to send to all NCHA members on how to watch cattle and select cattle to get your horse shown on.

• Matt appeared in numerous advertisements for Classic Equine, Martin Saddlery, Hyalun, Rios Of Mercedes and Purina. Matt was also regularily seen in various Equine publications in stallion advertisements for several of the industry's top stallions as well as, results, interviews and snapshots while attending shows.
